Ever need just a little something sweet, but have nothing in sight? This master mix for making a mug cake is easy to make and keep in the pantry,. then when the craving hits just make it,likity split and top with a drizzle or two of chocolate or other topping and you will satisfy that sweet tooth for just pennies and in 1 minute!
This also makes great gifts to give out to coworkers, friends, neighbors, teachers and more. Just tuck a baggie of the mix into a cute mug, maybe add a little candy sprinkles or chocolate chips and a tag with directions on how to make the cake. Super cute gift for only a tiny bit of money.
Now this cake is not meant to be a super, duper great bakery cake. It is a light and airy, lightly sweet cake that will just fill that sweet tooth craving. I add in a handful of chocolate chips into the batter before it bakes and a plop of whip cream and drizzle of chocolate sauce is a must, but who would turn down a bit of frosting or candy sprinkles either. It just makes the perfect treat.
Jan's Tip; I choose the deepest, darkest chocolate cake mix I can find to use, when it blends with the angel food cake mix it will keep it as chocolaty as possible.
